Benjamin Lipham, DO

Dr. Benjamin Lipham obtained his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina and worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in microbiology before serving in the United States Marine Corps. During his time in service, he served as part of security forces and infantry units, completing his term of service at the rank of Sergeant, with an honorable discharge from active duty. Dr. Lipham then earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. Following graduation from medical school, he then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at SOVAH Health- Danville, where he served as chief resident in the Internal Medicine Residency program. Dr. Lipham is Board Certified in Internal Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and has been previously certified in Medical Laboratory Sciences through the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Following graduation from residency, Dr. Lipham had the opportunity to work as a hospitalist and teaching faculty at SOVAH and has now transitioned to outpatient internal medicine. Blending his background in science, service, and leadership, his medical practice strives to provide compassionate healthcare to the community, with focus on the treatment of chronic illnesses, health promotion and disease prevention, while teaching Danvilles Internal Medicine Residents.
